| Completely closed alu profiles have the reputation of being absolutely ingress resistant (IP65 and higher) - this is also ensured for this housing. But at the latest when trying to fit switches or displays that are uprightly mounted on a PCB through openings in the housing wall, every developer will quickly long for a "classic" mounting plate solution: to simply mount all components like display, printed circuit board, switches (e.g. short hub keys, etc.) on a single alu mounting board, insert them into the housing - done! |

| The new housing ALU-OPTIMA realises precisely this idea - especially in the small case segment! The U-shaped profile, open at the top, is available in different sizes and like the closed profiles - has interior grooves for sliding in the PCBs. The Alu cover plate can be affixed last from above, making the mounting of all of the components (LCD, membrane keypad, printed circuit board, etc.) easier. With the closing of both end panels, this ALU cover plate is locked into position. |

| Due to a sophisticated sealing system, this housing corresponds to IP protection specifications frequently in demand (on request up to IP65), and is thus suitable for heavy-duty use in rugged conditions. Due to the basic principle of a continuous casting profile, you can choose any length of housing. For the width and height, KM offers commonly used sizes (e.g. 160 x 100 mm or 160 x 200 mm). |

| In serial production this housing is anodised (natural and black), but it can also be ordered in other colours (anodised, lacquered or powder coated). |
